Birthdaze ("we", "our", "the app") is a birthday reminder app. Since version 2.0 it has no accounts and no server of ours: everything you enter stays on your device. This policy explains what the app stores, what leaves your device, and what still applies to accounts created with version 1.0.
None. Birthdaze 2.0 and later do not send any data to us or to anyone else. There is no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
The app keeps the following in its private storage on your phone:
This data never leaves your device unless you export it yourself. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
Reminders are local notifications scheduled by the app on your phone. No push service is involved and no notification token exists. You can allow or refuse notification permission at any time in your system settings.
You can export your birthdays to a file and import a file on another device. The file is created on your device and handed to the share sheet or file picker you choose. We never receive it. What you do with the file is under your control.
Birthdaze 2.0 and later use no third-party services. The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play, which are governed by Apple's and Google's own privacy policies.
Version 1.0 of Birthdaze required signing in with Apple or Google and stored data on our server. If you used version 1.0, the following was stored there: your name and email address from your sign-in, your birthday entries, your timezone, language, and a push notification token. That server ran on Cloudflare Workers with a Turso (libSQL) database, and reminders were delivered through the Expo Push Service.
When you update to version 2.0 and open the app, your birthdays are copied to your device and your server account, including all of the data above, is deleted automatically. If your old session has expired, the app asks you to sign in once with the same Apple or Google account so it can find your data.
The server is being shut down after a transition period, no earlier than 30 days after version 2.0 is released. Any accounts remaining at that point are deleted permanently. If you want your account deleted sooner, or you no longer have the app, email us at the address below and we will delete it within 30 days.
Birthdaze is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13, and versions 2.0 and later do not collect data from anyone.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
